CREATE A BEGINNER PROFILE

This page sets out the steps involved to create a basic ORCID profile. Once you've completed these steps, check out the intermediate and advanced profile options.

1A - Create your ORCID account

During the registration process you'll have the opportunity to add an back up email address. We recommend that you do this in case you change institutions and can no longer access your Sydney email address. You can also login via Facebook or Gmail.

If you already have an account but can't remember the password, don't create a new ORCID, enter your email address to recover your password details.

Many researchers have published under various names. These name variants can be listed in ORCID. You can add University of Sydney to make it easier to differentiate from other researchers with similar names. You can also add Scopus and other researcher identifiers
