Sources of Islamic Law

The primary source of Islamic Law is derived from the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah. The Hadith is a record of the practices and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad during his lifetime.The Fiqh is the substantive law as derived from the primary sources and Islamic law (‘Tashri’ al-Islami’), represents the efforts of a particular state to put these laws into legislative form.
