Learn how to install and use the Library Access browser extension to make accessing full-text journal articles and ebooks easier.

How to install Library Access

Installing Library Access takes less than 1 minute and 3 steps.

The steps do vary a little depending on your browser.

Browser compatibility: Library Access is available to download on Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Google Chrome. This tool will no longer be available for install on Internet Explorer. If you currently use Library Access on Internet Explorer, it will continue to work as usual until 15 June 2022, but we advise you to change to another supported browser to experience the latest features of this tool.

Visit the Library Access home page at

At the top-right corner click on the add button.

If you don't see an add button, go to and click the download button under the icon for your browser.


Step 3

After clicking the add or download button, a new tab or window will prompt you to add the Library Access extension.

Depending on your browser the tab or window may appear differently.
