Development Studies: Australian links

The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) is the Australian Government agency responsible for managing Australia's overseas aid program. AusAID is an Executive Agency within the Foreign Affairs and Trade portfolio and reports to the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

The Australian Trade Commission – Austrade – is the Australian Government’s trade and investment development agency. Through our global network, we assist Australian companies to succeed in international business, attract productive foreign direct investment into Australia and promote Australia's education sector internationally.

The Australian Council for International Development is the peak Council for Australian not-for-profit aid and development organisations working to attain a world where gross inequality and extreme poverty are eradicated.

The Development Studies Network is a small multidisciplinary organization which encourages discussion and widespread exchange of knowledge of global social and economic development issues, development-related research, and international aid policy and practice. We promote and provide opportunities for open discussion on development issues between universities and colleges, government and non-government organizations, aid practitioners, communities and the private sector.

The Foundation for Development Cooperation is an independent, not-for-profit international development organisation. Through alliances and partnerships, FDC undertakes a range of initiatives which seek to improve the lives of poor people in developing countries.

The magazine of Australia's Overseas Aid Program :
Focus Online aimed to extend the range of the stories which appear in Focus magazine. Many stories which appear in Focus have additional content which cannot be included because of space limitations. Closed Sept 2013

International development journal with a special focus on Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Island countries and Southeast Asia. The Development Bulletin provides a variety of perspectives from different disciplines and development experiences. Each issue contains feature papers, reports from the field, NGO activities, book reviews and recent publications, contact details of organisations and web resources, and conference reports.
