You can search Factiva directly using the Free Text search interface.Enter your search terms in the Free Text box at the top of the screen. Use keywords connected by AND.
example search: (your company's name)e.g. IAG AND share price* (see instruction sheet at the top of this page)
To specify the particular publications you want to search, eg The Sydney Morning Herald etc

Electronic access to the full-text of the Australian Financial Review, BRW, and other Fairfax Business Media publications through Factiva is no longer available. Abstracts (summaries) of the AFR are still available in Factiva from 1-1-2007 onwards.
Print copies of
Australian Financial Review are available in the AV Room, level 3 of Fisher Library. Print copies are held for approximately three months until they are replaced by microfilm.
BRW copies are located in Fisher Research and Current Serials at the call number 052 93
