Citation Databases
When writing a thesis or dissertation it is essential to conduct a thorough literature review on your topic.
The following databases are especially useful to students conducting a literature review as they contain information about how many times an article has been cited, and by whom. This enables you to identify key authors and publications in a particular field.

Find a Peer Reviewed Journal
A peer reviewed journal contains articles that have been reviewed by a panel of experts prior to publication.
Check Ulrich's Periodicals Directory to see if a journal has been peer reviewed.
