Creating a Reading List in eReserve

There are two methods of getting a reading list added to eReserve.

  • The Fast Track method is self-managed. Create your own list by adding and managing items, or roll-over a previous instance of a reading list, modifying it to reflect the semesters' needs (see below).
  • The Library Assisted method, where the library can assist with inputting the data into your eReserve List. 

Rollover an existing list for a new semester

To reuse a reading list used in a previous semester:

  • In your Unit choose New List

  • Define the Duration on the new reading list. Either Predefined (Semester 1, 2019, Summer School etc) OR Custom (use this if none of the predefined options are suitable). 

  • In the Unit drop down menu, click down and search for the Unit code that has the list you want to duplicate. This can be any Unit code within the system. In the Reading List drop down menu, select the list you want to make a copy of.

  • Select which titles from the list you would like to include in your new list. There is an ALL option on the right of the red banner.

  • Once you have chosen your titles click on Next at the top of the page

  • Review the readings selected, and if you're satisfied with it, click on Create  
  • Your list then displays as Future with all titles Pending - until it becomes active for the designated dates.
