EndNote: EndNote and Word

EndNote and Microsoft Word

The beauty of EndNote is the way it integrates with Word and readily enables an author to insert in-text citations and manage bibliographic entries, as well as the ability to change the reference style used by a document with a few clicks.

Other software

If you use alternative software to Microsoft Word (such as OpenOffice or Pages) EndNote will work!

The icons and procedures should be should look and be much the same.

Please be aware, however, that the library currently only has Microsoft Word 2007, so all of the videos and screen grabs are from this platform.

If you run into trouble, have a look at our Further Help page, and check the EndNote support forum to see if someone else has had the same problem.

If you're still stuck, contact your friendly Academic Liaison Librarian.
